Function Overview:


The Mobile Technical Center Manager will supervise manufacturing technical staff at a unit or plant level, to deliver the technology and process capability needed to operate, maintain and improve manufacturing operations. This person will work closely with business supply chain, production & R&D teams to define goals (SHE, quality & asset productivity) and lead technical resources to meet these objectives.  They will also be responsible for the development of technical resources and the building of the capabilities needed to support the safe and efficient operation of plant(s). Coordinate the effective leveraging of manufacturing technology resources to optimize utilization for the site, supply chain & business.





  • Provide effective technology leadership to the operations at the Mobile Crop Protection Site.
  • Serve as an integral member of the Mobile Leadership Team (MLT) and site PMO/Decision Board. 
  • Develop and improve professional competence and functional excellence for site technical professionals (chemists and engineers).  The technical professionals at the site take functional direction from the STL.
  • Direct responsibility for the Six Sigma resources, Quality team (as ISO & Quality Management Representative), and the Quality Control Laboratory.
  • Assure the development and implementation of technology improvement programs (5-year plan) and asset productivity best practices across the site.
  • Maintain current and future state vision of plant capabilities, improvement and technical resource plans and aligns with supply chain, business and R&D teams.
  • Account for the execution of the Technology PSM (Process Safety Management) elements: Process Technology, Process Hazards Analysis, and Management of Change - Technology.
  • Provide development and mentoring to Unit Technology Leaders (UTL) at the site to ensure continuous growth in technical and leadership capability to support the DCP business.
  • Provide representation for the synthesis site as part of the global DCP Manufacturing Technology Leadership network, actively participate in the Manufacturing Technology to maintain and drive improvements in manufacturing capability and asset productivity, and implement global MT initiatives at the site.
  • Champion lean enterprise methodology and processes at the site.
  • Lead change implementation via Six Sigma and DPS methodologies.
  • Define and manage capital projects to drive technology improvements.
  • Work with the Global Operations Technology Manager to define skill sets needed and number of resources required to effectively operate the plant as a world-class fine and customs chemicals operation.
  • Other duties as assigned.




  • 5-10 years of prior experience in a manufacturing technical support and production & maintenance line supervisory position.
  • The ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • A Bachelor's in Engineering or a Master's degree in Chemistry.   
  • Strong project management
  • Management and supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of the various organic chemical synthesis, engineering and analytical technologies used in a highly regulated agrochemical business (FIFRA).
  • Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of the elements of Process Safety Management and Plant Safety Rules.
