Are you looking to expand your experience on regulatory affairs for crop nutrition and biologicals products? You will have the opportunity to use your regulatory background to support the EMEA Region advancing our FMC biological portfolio through implementation of regulatory strategies. In this position, we offer a strong foundation for you to further develop your regulatory career, as you drive crop nutrition and biologicals regulatory projects towards successful registrations while keeping a watchful eye on the ever-changing regulatory landscape and adjust plans accordingly.
You will be our regional regulatory focal point for most of our biostimulants and crop nutrition portfolio, and to some extent support biopesticides registration projects. Key to your success will be cross-collaboration with many regional and/or global functions such as regulators, project managers, marketing, supply chain, regulatory scientists, and country/regional regulatory affairs managers across FMC.
The position requires initiative in regulatory management of projects directly linked to the success of the business. These initiatives and projects are within the areas of product line expansion, growth, defense, sourcing, off-patent strategy, trade and competitive intelligence and will be in specific geographies across the assigned portfolio.
Moreover, your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement regional regulatory plans for registration and defense of biostimulants and crop nutrition products in the region.
- Build prioritization lists of registration activities in collaboration with key stakeholders, review the scope and work needed, and coordinate the related regulatory activities for the assigned portfolio
- Coordinating and identifying data and studies required to support registrations and to secure timely submissions
- Drive regulatory data automation projects in collaboration with other stakeholders
- Provide timely overviews to our Global Regulatory Manager for Biologicals on ongoing registration projects in the region
- Contribute to project teams comprised of operational project managers, regulatory scientists, and country/global regulatory affairs manager.
- If needed, to attend meetings with regulatory authorities together with regional managers as required.
- If needed, to represent FMC in regional industry associations and be actively involved to promote science based and pragmatic regulations for crop nutrition in the region.

The preferred location for this position will be at FMC’s European Innovation Center (EIC) north of Copenhagen, Denmark but an alternative location could be close to our office in Frankfurt. FMC’s European Innovation Center is also the global Headquarter for FMCs Plant Health business and our Global Leadership Team is located here together with our Global Innovation Center for our Biologicals R&D group. The role will report to the EMEA Plant Health Regional Regulatory Affairs Team Lead.

You must have experience (+3 years) in a regulatory related role within fertilizer, crop nutrition, bio stimulants (+ biologicals, conventional crop protection would be ideal) area, with regional and/or global focus and demonstrated ability to apply scientific knowledge to regulatory related solutions.
Dealing with regulatory authorities and policymakers around fertilizer and biological products is an important part of this position; therefore, a sound understanding of how these products are regulated in the region is required. Good basis of the Fertiliing Products Regulation (FPR) in the EU, and/or other country regulations in the regions as previous experience will be required.
You will be driving results through a wide range of people in a global, matrix organization, so great stakeholder management skills will be critical to this role. You enjoy learning, have creative problem-solving abilities and are comfortable in an agile environment.
We also imagine that you:
- Possess a MS degree or Ph.D. in a regulatory science or related discipline (chemistry, biochemistry or environmental science)
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize data and develop recommendations
- Effectively can monitor industry and regulatory activities and assess impact on key active biological control agents
- Demonstrate strong planning, accountability and ownership attitude, project management and organizational skills.
- Speak and write English fluently
Travel requirements: No more than 15%
