Primary Responsibilities:   The Stine Facilities and Operations organization delivers world-class facilities and operations that enable R&D to advance an industry-leading agricultural pipeline.  Reporting to the Facilities Director, as a Facilities Specialist your primary focus extends beyond managing physical spaces. You play a vital role in fostering community engagement and ensuring smooth operations. Here are your key responsibilities:

 

Community-Centric Responsibilities:

  1. Site Communications Lead:
    • Review requests for site-wide communications.
    • Compose and issue important information and reminders to the research community promptly.
    • Keep everyone informed effectively.
  2. Resource for Special Events and Services:
    • Be the go-to person for site special events, facility maintenance issues, and service delivery needs.
    • Assist in resolving issues independently.
  3. Policy and Procedure Maintenance:
    • Align site policies and procedures with FMC policies and Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security guidelines.
  4. Site Tours and Logistics:
    • Coordinate internal and external business and VIP tours.
    • Manage logistics and communications for all involved parties.
  5. Space Planning and Occupancy:
    • Own the site space planning process.
    • Process move requests and maintain accurate office and lab space plans.
  6. Emergency Preparedness:
    • Serve on the Stine Incident Management Team and Inclement Weather Team.
    • Distribute site notices during emergencies and communicate immediate impacts to operating schedules.
  7. Utility Services and Procurement:
    • Maintain utility services data.
    • Set up purchase orders and process invoices.
  8. Community Relations:
    • Cultivate relationships with community contacts and State Departments.
    • Coordinate meetings with surrounding community members.
    • Promote site community outreach events, process donations, and maintain event records.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum two years in administrative/operational/contract administration roles.
  • Technical Skills: Leverage at least five years of experience with SAP, UL360, Bentley, and other data management platforms.
  • Communication: Strong written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Familiarity with Emergency Notification Systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Budget Management: Experience managing budgets and possessing business acumen.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, SharePoint, Excel).
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to present information effectively to all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Leadership: Capable of planning, leading, organizing, documenting, and managing business meetings.
