Duties: Engineer and deliver high quality data pipelines for data warehousing and big data solutions factoring in data quality, performance management, security and scalability. Execute the vision for data and analytics strategy supporting a wide spectrum of data needs ranging from large scale data management, cloud infrastructure, modern data architecture, data science use cases through rapid prototyping. Lead and participate in architecture discussions, recommend design choices and execute projects balancing strategic and tactical goals. Provide regular updates to Senior Data Engineer. Collaborate and foster cross-functional relationships with data scientists, application developers and business stakeholders to understand data needs and build reliable solutions. Support the growth of a team of data engineers and help accelerate data driven culture.

 

Requirements: Requires Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study, and 4 years of experience in data engineering, system administration and infrastructure management. Experience specified must include 4 years of experience with each of the following: SQL, database design, data modeling and data warehousing; development experience building data and analytics solutions, traditional and modern data warehouses, ETL/ELT data pipelines to process structured/semi-structured/unstructured data and drive insights; DevOps model, automated workflows, associated CI/CD components and containers, including experience with at least 2 of the following 4 tools: git, Jenkins, Docker and Kubernetes; Python programming; creating interoperable data exchange mechanisms, including experience with APIs and Webhooks; and sharing actionable quantitative and qualitative analysis. Requires good written and verbal communication skills
