For our site in Flintshire, we are looking for a

 

Production Operator

 

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Operator of Formulation independently and safely operates the mixing, blending, and storage areas. This role involves shift work from 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm and includes manual handling tasks. The operator ensures high-quality product output, adheres to safety and quality standards, maintains accurate records, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, all while working effectively as part of a team.

 

What You'll Do With Us:

 

  • Control and operate the batch mixing/blending area in adherence to SOPs, and maintain accurate production records.
  •  Uphold a safe operational environment by adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards, and reporting and investigating all near misses/incidents.
  • Organise and monitor the safe manufacture of bulk liquids, supervise the safe offloading of bulk raw material tankers, and log stock accurately.
  • Perform basic lab testing and data entry, and report maintenance issues to minimise downtime.
  •  Maintain high housekeeping standards, work as part of a team to meet targets, and actively participate in continuous improvement activities.
  •  Remain flexible to accommodate production requirements, including working overtime when necessary.

 

 

Your qualification

 

 

  • Previous experience in a chemical plant/process environment, particularly in blending/mixing.
  • Relevant Process/Manufacturing operations qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ), along with GCSEs.
  • Experience with Quality and Health & Safety management systems and knowledge of ISO9001 (training can be provided).
  • Counterbalance Forklift truck license (desirable) and awareness of COSHH, MSDS, and DSEAR (training can be provided).
  • SAP experience (desirable, with training available).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to contribute to a positive team spirit.
