Role Overview:

Your role is based in the FMC Tower in Philadelphia, PA. You will report into the Global Category Manager. As the Chemical Sourcing Manager, you will work within FMC’s Global Procurement Group as a key member of the Formulation Tolling team, responsible for the procurement of tolling services/contract manufacturing for Agricultural formulation products and packaging in the North America. You will be responsible for performing category management activities including, but not limited to, category strategy development, strategic sourcing, stakeholder management, contract lifecycle management, supplier performance management, and continuous cost and performance improvement. Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a candidate that can hit the ground running and make a visible impact within a short period of time. You can anticipate the following key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with functional leads to build subcategory strategies based on a thorough understanding of FMC’s business and external market conditions
  • Conduct cost-analysis activities in partnership with finance and the business to identify savings opportunities against management targets
  • Develop market intelligence on supply base for the region, monitor key events that may result in a security of supply risk (natural disasters, force majeure, logistics issues, etc.)
  • Develop and execute subcategory sourcing strategies (e.g. RFI, RFP, RFQ, scorecard and bid analysis, etc.)
  • Negotiate supplier contracts utilizing FMC contract templates & procedures
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships and manage supplier performance
  • Integrate best practices and modernized business processes across FMC, ensuring best use of tools, techniques and processes
  • Develop forecasts and other internal communications regarding Tolling/Contract Manufacturing services
  • Collaborate with FMC’s Global Procurement Group’s Center of Excellence (CoE) team
  • Collaboration with the Procurement and Supply Chain Operations to resolve supply issues and to improve process
  • Sustainability Journey: Drive FMC net zero target by 2035, through supplier selection and sourcing decision in adherence with overall Company direction

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relative work Experence.
  • 3-5 years of experience within sourcing, procurement, commercial, or operations for the Pharmaceutical, Agricultural, or related chemical sectors
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to prioritize and self-direct
  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively
