Position Summary: 

 

The Legal Department is seeking a driven, dedicated team player to support our global legal operations, particularly in technology and financial management. 

This work requires exercising considerable independent judgment and initiative in ensuring the achievement of legal department objectives, performed under the general supervision of the Legal Operations Manager.

  • Be well-versed in managing legal systems generally, with particular emphasis on those systems applicable to international operations. 

  • Cost tracking of projects to budget 

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Serves as an SME related to the operation of all legal systems and maintenance of the same. 

  • Able to gain a thorough knowledge of matter management and e-billing platforms to resolve outside vendors' transactional issues. 

  • Work with users to ascertain needs and support legal projects. 

  • Provide training, advice, and feedback on the management of internal legal systems 

  • Manage the technical side of legal training and communication deployments, utilizing both internal and external systems. 

  • Assist with management and training around the third-party due diligence systems. 

  • Provide database support for corporate transactions  

  • Work with staff to develop and maintain a contract management database.   

  • Handle various administrative tasks, ad-hoc legal and compliance projects 

  • Independently prepare expense, budget, forecasting, and variance reports to support our litigation group to meet financial deadlines. 

  • Coordinate payment of litigation bills for third-party administrators and advise controllers of payments as needed. 

  • Prepare and track settlement approvals and payments. 

  • Prepare invoices to other involved parties in litigation matters for reimbursement. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Required Education: 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences, Business, or related academic area. 

  

Qualifications: 

 

  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal environment with a multi-national corporation. 

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow through on assignments 

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with other departments to advance organizational goals 

  • Excellent team player and interpersonal skills 

  • Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality 

  • A confident but flexible personality 

  • Capacity to work well with employees across all departments 

  • Strong technical skills, particularly around database management and accounting software; SAP knowledge is helpful. 

  • Demonstrate general legal system knowledge
