MR&P Center of Excellence Global Operations and Procurement Senior Analyst
Overview:
The MR&P COE Global Operations and Procurement Senior Analyst is responsible for assisting the global Operations and Procurement Finance teams with the budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning processes. Responsibilities include assistance with global procurement and inventory standard costing responsibilities, preparing scheduled and ad hoc financial reporting deliverables, liaise with and support regional and functional business leaders in the development of future budgets / forecasts, and interacting with the global team. Additionally, this position will work with the global Operations and Procurement Finance teams to drive financial initiatives and improvement opportunities. This position will report directly to the Senior Manager of the Global MR&P COE.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering insightful analysis of business results, including both income statement and working capital/cash flow components based upon the function being supported
- Assistance with global raw material, freight, and duty pricing maintenance along with integrated support into the standard costing process
- Support the analysis of purchase price variances, manufacturing finance variances, inventory capitalization, standard cost analysis, etc. through coordination with the global and regional-based teams
- Liaise with and support regional/functional business leaders in the development of future budgets and forecasts while interacting with the global CO&E team
- Drive forecast alignment between finance and cross-functional teams such as commercial, supply chain, global procurement, etc.
- Prepare reporting, analysis and insights for key executive meetings including relevant S&OP meetings and monthly & quarterly business reviews
- Provide insights into ad-hoc initiatives and analysis to regional and functional-based FP&A teams
- Drive key financial initiatives with regional and functional FP&A teams, such as improvement imperatives, investment opportunities, and solutions to business issues
- Leverage analysis of consolidated business results and pair with market insights to develop recommendations on any commitment gaps
Education:
- BS in Finance/Accounting
- CFA/CPA preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Plant accounting/inventory costing experience highly preferred
Qualifications:
- Proficient in English language
- 5+ years of overall finance experience
- 3+ years of analytical and financial planning experience
- Strong Excel skills, and IT/systems knowledge
- SAP experience is highly preferred (particularly S4/Hana)

- Good understanding of financial statement structure, particularly profit and loss and working capital
- Very strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to dive into details to explain variances, while understanding the big picture

- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to effectively balance financial and operational factors and analyze complex business problems to develop appropriate solutions in a timely and responsive manner
