Business/Function Overview:

FMC is embarking on a journey to form a center-led Global Logistics Function. Your role is based at the FMC Tower in Philadelphia. You will report into the North America Logistics and Compliance Lead. This position is a logistics position that is responsible for the importation of raw materials and active ingredients.  This person will ensure that all customs requirements are being followed and will give guidance to foreign regions, domestic vendors, or internal departments.

  • Provides written instructions/guidance on Purchase Order texts for proper importation into the US.
  • Prepares import document packets for the US Customs Broker that ensures proper clearance.
  • Audit import documents for customs compliance purposes.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled meetings with logistics and brokerage vendors.
  • Manage SAP transactions for goods receipts.
  • Create and maintain STO’s for importation and tracking visibility.
  • Communicates with Regulatory team for EPA import labels and other supporting documents.
  • Ensures import containers are moving from the port to the destination.
  • Optimize freight movement within the US to meet delivery dates.
  • Develop and maintain KPI’s to ensure business continuity is being met.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field of study or equivalent industry experience.


Functional/Technical Skills:

  • 2-5 years’ experience handling imports and working with freight forwarders
  • Familiar or experienced working in SAP S4 Hana
  • Significant Knowledge of US Customs requirements
  • Knowledge of EPA and other government agencies
  • Experience working with Freight Forwarders
  • Experience working with truck carriers
  • Familiar with all modes of transportation: air, ocean, and truck
