About the Role

As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for being a key member of our maintenance team to carry out mechanical maintenance of the plant and facilities in accordance with FMC’s best practices.


  • Perform inspection, troubleshoot, and maintain Plant equipment and facility; maintain high reliability and uptime.

  • Carry out predictive, preventive, and proactive maintenance in accordance with FMC’s best practices.

  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance work carried out by contracted vendors.

  • Carry out the role of a FCA (field contract administrator) and conduct safety induction course for contractors, certify them to work at site.

  • Lead change of design projects and provide technical input from a mechanical perspective.

  • Responsible for tracking critical equipment downtimes, maintain equipment history cards, alert supervision on any deviations or areas of improvement.

  • Supervise and execute maintenance activities with contractors / vendors and ensure work is done in a safe manner.

  • Identify and maintain mechanical spares related to plant equipment’s in general.

  • Participate in safety and quality improvement activities.

  • Carry out ad hoc jobs as assigned.


About You

We imagine that you have:

  • Minumum 2 to 5 years of experience

  • NITEC/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Knowledge in vibration, alignment, and oil analysis.

  • Familiar with ASME standard and comfortable to read P&IDs and isometric drawings.

  • Knowledge in SAP PM System will be an added advantage.

  • knowledge in utilities system such as Process Chiller System and Compressor/ Compressed Air System.

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Possess strong safety mindset.

  • Able to work in a diverse and multi-disciplinary team.

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
