Operations Finance Senior Analyst - AI Supply

Job Summary

Based in the AI Regional Head Office in Singapore, the primary purpose of this position is to provide Operations Finance analytical support to our AI Sourcing business. The support will include preparing operating budgets, Standard setting, monthly forecasts and actual results for the sites. Additionally, the position will include developing monthly analysis, reporting and forecasting for operating reviews and providing explanations as necessary.  A critical component is working with other functions to fully understand both Tolling and Supply contracts in order to monitor price performance.


As a Finance Business Partner you will be the finance contact to ensure their full understanding of AI cost structure and contractual implications on costs. This position will report directly to the AI Supply Finance Manager and will collaborate with key stakeholders in the Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain organizations, as well as our Finance Shared Service Centers in Manilla and Cork.


How You Will Help Us Succeed

  • Work closely with the Shared Service Centers especially AP team to ensure proper recording
  • Develop operating budget for Toll locations and the standard cost setting process including cost equalization
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly forecasting reports for manufacturing costs and variances within the global OFPA framework using such analysis to improve results alongside Business Partners
  • Prepare data for AI Sourcing Cost Center reviews with the Functional Heads
  • Prepare entries for monthly close activities such as accruals and reclassifications
  • Collaborate with Procurement team to review and validate Toll agreements with particular emphasis on cost components for quarterly true up process
  • Liaise with Procurement team and 3rd Party Toller during quarterly cost true up process
  • Focal point for SAP system capability in accounting for AI sourcing – Toll, Air Freight, Cost Equalization, Toll WIP etc.
  • Participate in ad hoc OFPA improvement projects
  • Follow the internal control book procedures and support SOX and internal audit as needed
  • Adherence to the reporting deadlines communicated from global team such as month-end close, budget submission etc.
  • Able to challenge status quo of current process and propose for change in order to streamline process for better accuracy and efficiency


What You Will Bring to Us

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or relevant field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, product costing, and/or operations finance, within manufacturing/procurement (preferably the chemicals industry)
  • Experience with the financial reporting cycle including development of annual business plan / budget, financial projections / recurring forecasts and operations cost management required
  • Standard costing experience (preferred)
  • ERP System experience required (We are using SAP S4)
  • Ability to build effective business relationships, and interact and communicate effectively
  • Strong English written and oral presentations skills
  • Demonstration of root cause investigation and continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced matrix organization and adapt to change as needed
  • Proficient in the Microsoft office suite to include Excel and Power Point
