IT Web Applications Specialist

Key Role Responsibilities:
• Responsible for front-end and back-end configuration, development, and coding.
• Responsible for helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme. Work closely with internal clients to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation.
• Responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionality, establishing and guiding the website’s architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability
• Preparing and maintaining required documentation, including, but not limited to technical and functional specification documentation, test plans and results, training documentation, and status reports.
• Managing all technical aspects of the application development, the database, and other system components, including patch management and upgrades, and replacing deprecated functions, as appropriate, as well as regression testing
• Release management and deployment of new or changes to features and functionality through a Development, Test/QA, and Production pipeline
• Ensuring cross-browser compatibility for web-based applications
• Responsible for application performance monitoring and optimizations, capacity management, and error monitoring and resolution/bug fixes.
• Ensuring backup and disaster recovery plans are documented and tested
• Works with IT and end-users to develop prototypes in a test environment to simulate the new design in order to produce a functional system which is consistent with the requirements specified by the client. Is responsible for developing unit test scenarios and subsequent implementation of test plans documenting test results.
• Responsible for ensuring that successfully tested changes are transferred to the production environment following the appropriate transfer process.
• Ensures results obtained satisfy client requirements and that the new business processes operate effectively and efficiently in the integrated system environment.
• Responsible for preparing and maintaining required documentation, including, but not limited to specification documentation, test plans and results, and training documentation.
• Responsible for ensuring upgrades are successful by developing robust test plans and involving appropriate business and IT resources.
• To stay updated with the latest technological advancements and changes in the area of application development (including application security) and adapting to these changes by self-training and research work.
Required Education:
BS Degree, preferably in a technical discipline or the relevant functional discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics) and/or equivalent years of experience in an application development environment.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience designing, constructing, implementing and supporting .NET web-based data driven applications, programming in C#.NET and Angular, Microsoft SQL Server, Stored Procedures and SSIS Packages and JavaScript.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM/ITBM workflow and coding.
• Experience with mobile development (Android and IOS), Experience with deployment of mobile application using Google Play and Apple App stores, integrating and developing Web Services as well as working with REST APIs, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOps.
• Thorough understanding of and experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g., Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, Support) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs
• Experience working in a SOX compliant environment with a Project Management methodology is a huge plus.
• Demonstrated ability to translate client needs into technical requirements, consider alternatives, and recommend appropriate solutions.
