Global Procurement Overview

The Global Procurement organization is a global and center-led organization consisting of three key pillars: Center of Excellence (COE), Category Management and Procurement Operations. This organization has been in place for nearly ten years and is nearing the completion of a transformation journey focused on strengthening our overall operating model, implementing a best in class S/4 HANA platform and solidifying our category management business value creation.

Role Overview:

 This position is based at the FMC Tower in Philadelphia as part of FMC’s Global Procurement Group and reports to the Global Process Owner – Requisition to Pay in the Procurement COE organization.   As the Technology Functional Lead, you will be responsible for the functional maintenance of procurement owned systems – Ariba Sourcing, Ariba Contracts, Ariba SLP, Ariba Buying/Guided Buying, Fieldglass.   This role partners closely with the COE Process Leads, IT COE, and the Enterprise Governance and Continuous Improvement (EGCI) organization to identify system enhancement opportunities to optimize procurement processes.  The successful candidate is equal parts a strategist, a collaborator, and an executor who will work closely with the COE Process Leads to establish the strategies for procurement owned systems and manage the execution of system improvements. 

 

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Own Ariba Network supplier enablement and internal/external catalog implementation
  • Drive alignment between Ariba SLP and MDG for vendor maintenance
  • Manage non-IT system changes in Ariba systems
  • Research system enhancement opportunities and align with process leads on business requirements
  • Stay up to date on latest functionality released by Ariba and work with process leads to enable as appropriate
  • Provide level 3 technical support/troubleshooting for responsible systems
  • Partner with process leads and IT to identify and implement system related opportunities for improvement
  • Update training material/job aids specific to system updates/changes

 
Education Requirements & Skillsets Required:

  • BS or BA required; Business discipline (Finance, Accounting, Business Management) 
  • Functional / Technical Skills: 
  • 3-5 years experience in a procurement or process governance organization is required  
  • Proven strong project management skills, preferably in a cross functional environment 
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including v-lookups, pivot tables, formulas, and charts is required 
  • Soft Skills: 
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills in complex topics to diverse audiences  
  • Display organizational agility to manage different projects and manage relationships with different stakeholders 
  • Ability to work independently on several projects at the same time 
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment demonstrating strong results driven competency   
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
