SAP S/4 Finance Implementation Specialist

Accountable for Finance Process and Solution (Level 4 and Level 5) execution of design and integration to deliver projects across all towers (New Capabilities, Automation and Upgrade) within the Enterprise Governance and Continuous Improvement organization. In this role, the Finance Specialist will execute the project design and delivery of all Finance related capabilities, with a focus on integration across functions, regions, organizations, and projects. This role is expected to partner with the GPOs and RPOs, IT Design Owners and ES Shared Services to ensure ongoing integrity of design with extreme bias towards establishing design scalability for expansion and optimization and safeguarding against degradation of global design template.



Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Execute design and delivery of Finance capabilities in S/4 HANA, BPC, Vertex, Reval, Blackline, and other 3rd party solutions included in or integrated with the overall S/4 HANA Platform including both process and system configuration
  • Provide guidance and process / solution expertise in the defined Finance Level 4 / 5 areas
  • Participate and facilitate integration and coordination with other Level 4 / 5 analysts across all projects delivered by the EGCI organization
  • Process / solution adherence to global design
  • Work closely with the Deployment, Data Migration, Test & Defect Management, and Readiness Teams to ensure functional needs are incorporated in the respective plans
    • Identify test scenarios and execute testing
    • Identify cutover tasks and execute, as appropriate
    • Define data objects definitions and support the data migration effort
    • Support the identification of change impacts and readiness tasks; support creation of training materials where applicable
  • Adherence to FMC project governance and controls


Skillsets Required:

  • Functional / Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of Level 4 and 5 processes in the Finance functional area
    • Strong understanding of integration points across other functional areas outside of Finance, including data and reporting interdependencies
    • System knowledge and expertise in S/4 HANA, BPC, Vertex, Reval, Blackline, and other 3rd party solutions included in or integrated with the overall S/4 HANA Platform
    • Project management experience to ensure adherence to governance, controls and best practices
