FMC is seeking an HR Generalist for FMC's Stine Research & Development site in Newark, Delaware. The HR Generalist will be responsible for applying business knowledge and human resources expertise to assist in providing a wide range of HR support. The role will provide guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, and employee relations to assist in fostering a positive work environment. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who has the leadership, skills and ability to master this role and grow to broader HR roles with additional business impact. The HR Generalist will report to the HR Manager – Stine.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR consultation, support and guidance to mangers and employee groups consistent with HR best practices that drive high quality results
  • Assist in supporting University Relations and HR activities for interns and new college graduates to drive recruitment, development, and engagement
  • Accountable for onboarding/offboarding activities including all new hire, termination and transfer information and paperwork with local payroll and HRSC   
  • Support HR projects and processes, i.e., salary planning, salary actions, incentives, recruiting, relocation, service awards, recognition (i.e. Cash/Bonus Awards, etc)
  • General HR data maintenance including, activity and record maintenance, data integrity, troubleshooting, assisting managers in the web interface Self Service, personnel file updates and ensuring HR system data accuracy
  • Assist with visa processing, international assignments, and domestic relocation coordination
  • Assist in creating and updating job descriptions for employees to accurately represent the scope of the role at any given moment
  • Counsel employees on leaves of absences, return to work, accommodations and unemployment needs
  • Drive DEI initiatives and activities
  • Collaborate with other HRBPs and Center of Excellence teams on HR Projects.
  • Assist in HR audits for accuracy
  • Other HR related duties as assigned.

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or a related field
  • SRHM certification preferred

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in human resources field
  • Must have demonstrated experience working in a team environment, as well as, good communication
  • Familiarity with employment law and other government compliance regulations.
  • Strong track record of delivering viable solutions to the organization to drive an inclusive, diverse work environment
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks and juggle multiple priorities and sites.
  • Attention to detail and an understanding of the impact of results with the ability to integrate information in order to accurately understand and apply to an overall procedure and/or process. 
  • Excellent computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and proficiently use new applications and systems and be comfortable solving minor desktop issues.
  • Familiarity with general HR systems, terminology and processes. SuccessFactors preferred.
  • Experience in maintaining confidentiality.
