Internal Overview:

The major responsibility areas for the Market Research Analyst role include:


(1) present findings through impactful reports, presentations and digital tools for the Leadership, Marketing and Sales teams


 (2) perform ad hoc and periodic research and analysis on various data sources to identify and address business challenges and market opportunities. Lead custom market research products, incudling study design, vendor selection, financial + stakeholder management and reporting of results.   Act as focal point for complex data needs /queries relating to market activity.


 (3) recommend potential action steps and additional research opportunities with a focus on customer needs.


This role will report directly into the Sr.  Business Intelligince Manager.




  • Build and maintains a strong working knowledge of current trends in Agriculture, Marketing, Analytics, and Business Intelligence applicable to the industry
  • Develop and maintains a deep understanding of the businesses cross-functionally and a strong knowledge of new and emerging analytic solutions that anticipate and strategically position FMC for success
  • Lead reporting tactical market and customer insights to the North America marketing group
  • Lead and assist in designing and conduction custom market research to support marketing decision making
  • Responsible for analysis of grower, competitive and customer insights obtained from market research, financial data, and internal sources
  • Participate in regular marketing input sessions to provide relevent market intelligence to help inform and guide marketing strategy
  • Perform ad hoc data queries and research tasks using internal and external data sources. Responsible for developing and maintaining market intelligence dashboards
  • Summarize key industry and market trends and incorporate into standard customer presentations
  • Assists with managing market research budget. Leads and is responsible for vendor management and invoicing, PO generation in order to effectivley manage budgets.
  • Serve has key point of contact for RBMs and divisional market manager on increasing complicated requests. Act as “point person” for majority of ad hoc requests
  • Detailed knowledge of SAP/FIORI sysyem to generate complex data needs for stakeholders.




  • BA/BS in Agricultural Science-related or quantitative Business discipline required
  • MS in Agricultural Science-related discipline or MBA preferred




  • 2-5 years’ experience in in production agriculture or a closely related field
  • Experience in quantitative market research and marketing
  • Basic familiarity with accounting and finance principles
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Tableau, Power BI or SQL preferred
  • Strong MS office skills, particularly Excel, SAP/FIORI
  • Excellent organizational, communication collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated sound decision making, problem solving, and ability to react quickly under pressure
  • Ability to interact effectively with multiple functional groups to drive decisions
  • Demonstrates ability to think critically about issues, form objective opinions, and make timely decisions
