Business/Function Overview: 

FMC is actively seeking a strategic, collaborative, and analytical professional to join our organization.  This role will serve as an internal resource for sales planning, tracking, reporting, analysis and recommendations on a multitude of strategic business issues. Focus is on maintaining critically important alignment of Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning, Customer Service, and Finance functions. 

Specifically:

  • Responsible for driving efforts to ensure effective coordination and communication between Sales, Customer Service, Demand Planning, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Engage with IT and Centers of Excellence leaders to support the development of tools and a digital platform to support the Revenue Analysis function.
  • Participate in most aspects of the US Commercial Organization to align sales team direction with commercial strategy, financial goals, stated key customer initiatives, regional business plan implementation, supply chain initiatives, and US marketing efforts.
  • Support Commercial Leadership by analyzing business trends and internal sales reports to proactively bring insight
  • Collaborate with Finance to support implementation of the regional and customer budgeting process, LRP, and strategic planning.
  • Create or manage the creation of ad hoc analyses and reports/presentations as requested by Commercial Leadership.
  • Work with SAE’s to assist in providing level of Analytics required to service their accounts; support development of Customer Strategic Plans to align with LRP
  • Manage the process of annual sales planning, quarterly customer target setting, and implementation to deliver necessary sales within the required timeframe, i.e., at the end of each quarter.
  • Work with Customer Service to ensure appropriate pricing and shipping of product according to customer agreements.
  • Build, maintain, distribute bimonthly sales management report detailing EDI performance by territory compared to budget and SAP progress toward quarterly and annual targets. 
  • Produce and distribute report of daily customer order placement.
  • Responsible to work with SAE (Strategic Account Executive) team and Marketing to reach decisions on product allocations, quarterly initiatives and/or production/packaging decisions.
  • Work with SAE team and regions in developing or improving information relative to demand planning, product forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Support monthly forecasting process with SAE team and act as liaison to the Demand Planner.
  • Support the process of monthly RBM EDI forecast entry to support Demand Planning, via existing system.
  • Work with Supply Chain by comparing product demand vs product availability and anticipating any issues.  Develop communication strategies to convey key supply messages to the Commercial team.
  • Assimilate input from the SAE Team Leader and Division Commercial Leaders for the RSOP process.

 

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related discipline; MBA preferred

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales, Finance, Supply Chain or Marketing Operational role
  • Proven technical, analytical, and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications kills
  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient with the ability to work independently and successfully prioritize and problem solve
  • Demonstrated success in business analytics, operations, and sales
  • Past experience in both sales and sales management preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence teams and drive toward results; ability to work with team of experienced sales leaders and influence/drive change across functional and business boundaries
  • Experience with CRM and demand planning tools
  • Ability to flex between high-level thought leadership and hands-on management
  • Strong planning, and organization skills, including ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuous improvement experience/attitude; ability to suggest and implement best practices
  • Self-starter with unquestionable integrity
