Country Registration Manager, Poland and Romania

This role can be based out of Bucharest, Romania (preferred) or Warsaw, Poland.


We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a basic knowledge of the regulatory process for plant protection products who is looking for the next step in their career.

The Registration Specialist will be a key member of the EU regulatory team. Assisting in all aspects of the advice, preparation, submission and co-ordination of all aspects of active substance, PPP and Biopesticide authorizations in Romania and Poland. Working in collaboration with the local country team, together with regional/global regulatory managers, project managers, regional/global regulatory scientists you will be heavily involved in the execution of all regulatory submissions.


This position offers the opportunity for a regulatory affairs professional to further develop a career in the regulatory arena. The position requires initiative in regulatory projects and submissions directly linked to the success of the business in the areas of product line expansion, growth, defense, sourcing, off-patent strategy, trade and competitive intelligence. The successful candidate will report to the Country Registration Team Lead in Eastern EU.  The individual will be a member of a highly interactive and supportive country, regional and global team.

You will be responsible for complying to EU and national regulation for Plant Protection Products in order to maintain and authorize FMC products in the market. Main tasks are:

  • Prepare and update all MSDS and labels for the FMC’s Portfolio in Romania and Poland.
  • Provide guidance and support to European and Global colleagues in preparing dossiers for country, in full compliance with national requirements and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit dossiers/documents to the authorities for re-/authorization, label extensions, operational request etc. Responsible for creation of locally needed documents.
  • Coordinate responses during the evaluation period between authorities and the regional registration team.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholder; national authorities and institutes, customers, development and business teams, in order to support FMC and EMEA business and maintain products on the market.
  • Developing strategic decisions for current and future registration projects
  • Provide regulatory information to business
  • Planning and completing external deadlines set by Regulation 1107/2009.
  • Seek guidance from authorities and notify them of FMC intentions.
  • Support European and Global colleagues in lobbying for active substances.
  • Keep updated with new guidance/opinions in country as well as EU.
  • Assist grower associations for minor uses or emergency uses, contributing to business revenue.
  • Participation in Crop Association meetings.
  • Prepare and keep product material up to date also with respect to stewardship; labels and SDS
  • Identify and realize opportunities in close collaboration with business



  • Minimum MS degree (Ph.D. preferred) preferably in a regulatory science or related discipline (agriculture, chemistry, toxicology, eco-toxicology, biochemistry or environmental science)




Preferred candidate has native language of Romanian, but it would be an advantage if you also know Polish (this is not a need).

Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.



Preferred location is Bucharest – but the position can also be in Warsaw.
