Function Overview:

The purpose of this position is to provide maintenance services to facilities at the Mobile Site including production units as well as general facilities/infrastructure. The Planner ensures the efficient use of resources and the timely completion of work by using a variety of tools to prioritize, procure materials, plan, schedule, and audit the work. Support shutdown and changeover coordinators with annual outage and product changeover maintenance activities. The Planner often serves as a liaison between clients and the services organization Maintain high standards of safety, maintenance, quality, productivity, cost and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include but are NOT limited to the following:

·      Working with requester and Mechanic(s)/Technicians to ensure job content/scope and required                      materials are defined.

·     Plans and coordinates maintenance work in assigned production units and general facilities to                       ensure timely completion of the work.

·    Determines appropriate craft/crew for the job, including whether an external service provider is required.

·    Determines job priorities and establishes appropriate completion dates based on available resources,             material, and client timing requirements.

·    Develops estimate of cost and resources needed to complete work.

·    Directly involved in the procurement process, ordering materials, authorizing purchases, receiving,               follow-up, etc.

·    Develops daily work to be performed by Mechanics/Technicians, will adjust schedule according to               priority changes or emergency requests

·     Assists the maintenance technicians in providing “as built” and other pertinent information to the                  facility engineers for updating area/equipment prints and other documentation.

·     Interfaces with other site personnel (i.e., Production Specialists, Team Leaders, Engineers) as                        needed in order to manage maintenance backlog in a way that meets the business needs.

 

Required Education:

·         High school or higher degree. 

 

Qualifications:

·         Demonstrated ability to act as a team leader and influence others.

·         Demonstrated experience in a craft / maintenance operation.

·         Prior Planning/Scheduling experience preferred

·         Demonstrated interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work                   with individuals and teams of diverse backgrounds in a respectful and effective matter.

·         Demonstrated ability to determine job priorities, allocate resources to the highest priority                                assignments and adjust work schedules to meet changing needs.

·         Demonstrated computer skills and the ability to learn and become proficient in new software                          systems.
