Job Description:

 

The Microsoft 365 Analyst supports the Corporate Microsoft 365 environment with emphasis on Office 365, Exchange on-premises and Online platforms, configuration, management, security, and compliance controls.

 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Administer and support the Microsoft 365 suite configurations and policies.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and deliver Microsoft cloud solutions on Entra ID and Microsoft 365 platforms.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and support of Office 365 and Microsoft Entra ID with emphasis in security (Defender for Office, Entra ID Protection, Conditional Access (CA), Azure Information Protection and Office 365 Message Encryption), architectural design, migration management and support of large-scale implementations.
  • Provide support in Compliance & data retention leveraging Office 365 Data Loss Protection (DLP), Cloud App Security & Native Office 365 capabilities such as retention policies including Office 365 eDiscovery & Purview.
  • Service Health monitoring using Microsoft Admin Center and actively respond based on system alerts and notification.
  • Provide support and guidance of all Office 365 features and functionality (Microsoft Exchange, Teams, Office 365 Groups, Planner, PowerApps, etc.)
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions using Microsoft Exchange, providing deep technical knowledge to assist other platforms utilizing Exchange messaging.
  • In-depth knowledge of Authorization & Authentication in Microsoft hybrid environment and experience with Entra ID including Single Sign On (SSO) and Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • Effectively translate technical specifications and errors through written and verbal communications to both technical and non-technical stake holders.

 

Required Experience and other Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Office 365 specialist in a 5000+ user environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Exchange Online.
  • Skilled in SharePoint Online, Teams, Security & Compliance Center, OneDrive for Business management.
  • Competent in the ability to manage eDiscovery matters and perform message tracing for audit and legal requirements.
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft licensing and the management of its licensing in a corporate environment using Active Directory and Entra ID groups.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell for managing on-premises and Office 365 environments.
  • Familiar with application monitoring tools, reviewing log files, and be available on occasion for off hours emergency support for critical applications.
  • Good understanding of the Microsoft O365 roadmaps and future changes for productivity tools to ensure smooth introduction and implementation within a corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Exchange Online Protection, Defender, and Cloud App Security technology.
  • Experience in developing technical solutions using Office 365 Suite.
  • Familiarity with Identity and Conditional Access design and implementation experience.
  • Experience with implementation/configuration of Office 365 messaging and collaboration tools.
  • Experience with on-premises management of Exchange.
  • Familiar with Active Directory, Entra ID and Hybrid deployments.
  • Understanding of transport and mail flow rules for both on-premises and Exchange Online.
     

Education - Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator a plus.
