Master Data Analyst

FMC has increased their crop protection business, bringing about a larger manufacturing footprint, enhanced supply chain complexities and a greater demand for tracking, reporting, and analyzing business performance in a timely, accurate manner.  This position will ensure that material, operations, and business partner master data is created and maintained in compliance with the Global Design to support our business. This position will support the SC, Operations, Finance, Procurement and Customer Service organizations to ensure that data is provided accurately and timely in the preferred systems and tools as well as manage all master data queries and tasks in compliance with Data Governance global standard processes & procedures for Materials, operations and Business partner data. Reports to the Global Master Data Management Supervisor.


  • Creating and maintaining material and business partner master data including material masters for all material types and operational data objects (bills of materials, recipes, production versions, resources, quality data, customer, plant, intercompany business partners etc. in the SAP-S/4 Hana system in compliance with Master Data Governance processes & standards. Working on technologies such as SAP S4 Hana, Master Data Governance - Central, and Legacy Workflow
  • Review master data quality reports and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies
  • Implement, maintain, and monitor processes related to master data creation, maintenance, and quality. Guarantee assurance and consistency.
  • Communicate with internal business partners as necessary to obtain information and documentation needed to process requests
  • Possesses strong knowledge of policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Works effectively with teams to determine solutions to problems with ability to handle escalations of issues.
  • Communicates policies, procedures, and standards
  • Communicate decisions to Global Master Data Management Supervisor if the decision involves changes to systems and/or master data policy.
  • Hands-on Data Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) of Master Data Management
  • Provide master data and related subject matter expertise required to test process and/or system improvements, upgrades, service packs, patches, and enhancements as defined by Global Master Data Supervisor.
  • Interface with Regional Data Stewards for escalations on process or technical questions
  • Participate and contribute to daily/regular sub-team and team meetings (Daily Monitoring Systems), Incident/Problem or Tactical meetings.


Required Education:

  • Bachelors or advanced degree required, preferably in related field (e.g., Customer Service Customer Operations, Engineering, and Materials Management) or equivalent relevant work experience.


  • At least 1 years of experience in SAP master data maintenance, preferably manufacturing operations, logistics, customer service, commercial, operations or comparable valuable experience from other areas (shared service, marketing, sales, customer service, etc.)
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Experience navigating with a variety internal business stakeholder relationships
  • Strong English-speaking skills, able to speak and write in the English language
  • Agile and able to adapt to fast-paced and continuously changing organization, landscape, scope, process, and schedule (able to work at different shifts)
  • Ability to invoke problem solving and troubleshooting skills when issues arise; able to use best judgement to know when issues need escalation.
  • Ability to properly articulate and communicate issues, problems, and solutions to non-technical customers
  • Strong team player with excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills and the ability to multi-task in a changing environment.
  • Experience communicating intermediate level topics to diverse audiences.
