We have an opportunity in our dynamic team for a sustainability analyst to join us on our journey.  This position will report to the Director, Global Sustainability and is based at FMC’s corporate headquarters in Philadelphia.

Essential Functions
A central element of this role is understanding investors’ approach to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) arena, the priorities they focus on, and how they evaluate companies.   This will require a close and collaborative working relationship with our Investor Relations team.  Additionally, your ability to foster relationships with raters and rankers will advance our knowledge of the reporting and disclosure frameworks.

As a key member in the corporate sustainability function you will: 
•    Manage ESG raters, rankers and surveys submissions such as Sustainalytics, CDP, Ecovadis and others engaging colleagues across various functions and regions to ensure submissions are complete and timely.  
•    Work with the Director to develop ratings & rankings strategy for the company, working closely with investor relations, communications, and businesses.
•    Report on progress, benchmark indices, and identify gaps to senior leadership; recommending ESG program improvements to key functions and businesses to advance progress and recognition
•    Maintain external relationships with key ESG rating agencies (MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS-ESG, Ecoavadis, etc.), ensuring that FMC’s ESG performance is accurately communicated to and understood by investors and other key stakeholders
•    Develop in-depth knowledge of the competitive landscape viewed through the lens of ESG and FMC’s position in that landscape understanding the ESG requirements and how FMC stands against AgBusiness market and competitors 
•    Stay abreast on evolving ESG topics and trends and supporting the development processes to manage the collection and validation of internal data across a broad range of sources. 
•    Work with internal audit and third-party making sure the risks are captured in various reports requirements 


Skills/Competencies and Experience
In addition to demonstrating the FMC core competencies of Accountable, Adaptive, Innovative, Inclusive, Strategic and Leadership, you have:
•    A working knowledge of, and passion for, ESG and sustainability topics from both a corporate and an investor perspective.  Such topics including sustainability reporting and disclosure frameworks such as GRI, TCFD, SASB and IIRC
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, and collaboration and influencing skills, 
•    Proven ability to independently manage complex projects and brief senior leadership
•    Strong research and analytical skills
•    Experience leading and facilitating group process and collaboration, team player
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power Point and Excel)
•    Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time and to work autonomously as needed




Bachelor’s degree in a one of the science fields, finance, sustainability, or environmental studies, Graduate degree in business, finance, sustainability or environmental management a plus
