Operations Finance Manager, Active Ingredients Supply (m/f/d)

 

Your role is to provide Operations Finance leadership to FMC’s Active Ingredients (AI) Sourcing business. The support will include owning Global Supply Chain (GSC) sourcing operating budgets, monthly forecasts and actual results for the specific sites used for AI sourcing. you will be the primary contact for senior management in Operations, Procurement and Finance ensuring Operations have appropriate support. This position will report directly to the Operations Finance Manager, AI, and will collaborate with key stakeholders in the Operations, Procurement and Supply Chain organizations, as well as our Finance shared service centers. 

 

 

What you do with us

 

  • You oversee and are responsible for the budget process and standard costs.
  • You ensure high quality master data across the Operations landscape. 
  • You monitor month-end closing activities by partnering with Cost accounting and Material Ledger team.
  • You review monthly/quarterly forecasting reports for manufacturing costs and variances within the global Operations Finance framework using such analysis to improve results alongside Business Partners. 
  • You monitor and report financial performance, understand, explain and present root causes of variances -vs- budget, forecast, and prior year. You work proactively to remedy unfavorable variances and initiate performance improvements.

 

Your qualification

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline 
  • A professional accounting qualification [CPA, ACMA etc.] preferred 
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years’ experience in financial planning and analysis, product costing, and/or operations finance, within manufacturing/procurement (preferably the chemicals industry) 
  • Standard costing experience 
  • Leadership experience and strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectively, including English language proficiency
