Head of Strategic Marketing Plant Health (m/f/d)

 

The Head of Strategic Marketing for FMC’s Plant Health organization is accountable for the global strategy and positioning to deliver growth, profitability, and timely product introduction for all Plant Health related segments. This role will also direct the R&D focus to deliver new innovations, while developing differentiated solutions mid & long term. 

 

At Our European Innovation Center in Greater Copenhagen, where this role is based, you will work in one of our growth sectors, developing next-generation products in BioSolutions, nutrition and protection.

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to position global mid- and long-term strategy delivering growth, profitability and timely product introduction for all Plant Health related segments
  • Drive P&L through Global portfolio strategies across all portfolios of Crop Nutrition, BioSolutions (pheromone and non-pheromone-based)
  • Collaborate with regional marketing / commercial teams to adapt global strategy and establish and manage strategically aligned pricing, pay, branding and distribution strategies
  • Support local strategies and implement different Go-to-Market models in collaboration with the regions
  • Responsible for the global business development strategy and activities for Plant Health such as assessing partnerships, licensing opportunities, supervising negotiations and executions on deals with external third parties
  • Drive commercial inputs as well as short- and long-term plans to newly established supply chain and operation strategies
  • Supervise a team accountable for monitoring the strategy execution & performance on continual basis and support regional positioning and business opportunity sizing
  • Ensure marketing/commercial teams have messaging and tools to promote products across multiple stakeholder groups

 

Qualifications

 

  • BSc/MSc in Business, Science, or related field and/or MBA
  • Substantial experience as Market Developer or in Technical Sales required, preferably in the biological industry
  • Extensive experience interacting, communicating, value negotiating and building relationships with executive level stakeholders
  • Considerable knowledge of business, strategies, marketing, logistics, finance, and leadership
  • Analytical reasoning, ability to make decisions and take informed risks
  • Written and verbal English skills required
  • Previous work experience with a biological company or experience handling a biological portfolio is a plus
  • Plant Health and/or Biological science/technical background would be an advantage
