You will, as our new Technical Support Manager, provide technical support to our customers in Egypt and oversee the various trials we will be executing.  

Success in this position is defined by a strong focus on the need of our customers, deep technical knowledge about the agricultural sector and business acumen.

Summary of Duties:

  • Maintain strong technical knowledge in the areas of fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, crop nutrition and/or biologicals.
  • Develop, execute & supervise appropriate field trials and other activities supporting commercial initiatives, ensuring testing programs are both aligned with market trends and cost effectiveness.
  • Manages the ongoing technical relationship with key accounts in Egypt and Middle East.
  • Identify new development/commercial opportunities and make technical recommendations to shape the overall development pipeline.
  • Maintain a strong connection to product development managers to ensure in-depth understanding of development projects to support new product launches.
  • Managing responses to customer inquiries, issues related to product quality, and product performance.
  • Provides advice to distributors on the use of FMC crop protection products and portfolio.
  • Structured knowledge transfer from development to commercial, including internal and external customers.
  • Contributing to the development of annual business plan and related budgets to achieve business goals and strategic plans.


  • Minimum B.Sc. in agriculture plus 5 to 7 years' experience in crop protection market
  • Strong technical, sales support skills, as well as flexibility to accommodate changing customer needs
  • Experience with field trial experimental design, data interpretation, reporting of results, and effectively demonstrating the features and benefits of products.
  • Proven ability to effectively transfer complex technical information to audiences with limited technical expertise
  • Outstanding written and oral presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively under pressure, navigate contentious situations, and resolve conflict
  • Ability to build and sustain strong business relationships with customers and coworkers
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and using sound judgement
  • Leads projects with little guidance required and proactively follow up to ensure research cooperators execute trials and deliver timely reports and data.

You will report to Tamer Mostafa, Business Manager Egypt and Middle East.
