Business/Function Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Process Engineer is to ensure consistent and reliable plant operations. In this role the ideal candidate will own day-to-day production troubleshooting and lead cross functional teams to address production issues. The Process Engineer is also responsible for meeting production plans, driving manufacturing excellence, and supporting EHS and capital goals.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Environmental Health & Safety
    • Responsible for any MOC process (Management of Change) including initiation of requests, review and approval of submitted requests, training, PSSR’s and communication of changes across departments.
    • Lead or assist in RCA to improve site operational and EHS performance.
    • Apply engineering principles to solve health safety, and environmental problems.
    • Support PHA and any process hazard assessment as needed.
    • Engage in weekly toolbox safety presentations and support site safety efforts.
  • Process Support
    • Responsible for maintaining the Operating Asset Utilization (OAU) program and analysis of the data to identify production opportunities.
    • Own day to day production troubleshooting and lead cross functional team to address production issues.
    • Ensure production plans are met by operating within standard operating limits and ensuring equipment is operating as designed.
    • Drive troubleshooting of abnormal conditions when escalated.
    • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and BOM’s.
    • Assess and drive improvement of current plant processes.
    • Analyze data to drive data-based decision making.
    • Drive site shutdown activities and scheduled maintenance outages Capital.
    • Lead development and execution of small to medium projects.
    • Responsible for evaluating and approving all final design documents such as P&ID’s, equipment specs, drawing releases etc.
    • Lead Investigations on quality issues and drive them to resolution.

 

  • People
    • Drive and support operator and supervisor training programs.
    • Execute operator qualifications.

 

Required Education:

  • B.S degree in Engineering  
     

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong safety orientation in OSHA and PSM.
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
  • At least 1 year experience in project management.
  • Being data based and results driven with strong action orientation.
  • The ability to effectively present at both informal and formal training settings.
  • Strong Excel skills - Experience with Microsoft Projects, AutoCad, SAP and Minitab are preferred

 

Compensation Range: $75,600 to $126,000
