MISSION
In the Molecular Biology group, we are involved in two main types of projects:
- resistance monitoring for crop protection products
- mode of action studies for new products
Regarding resistance monitoring, our main activities consist of DNA/RNA extractions, PCR and sequence analysis to detect any genomic mutations in the target site of pesticides.
Mode of action projects encompass plant/pathogens gene expression analysis and plant bacterial colonization study.
MAIN ACTIVITIES
- DNA and RNA extraction
- PCR, sequence analysis (Geneious), qPCR (TaqMan and SYBR Green)
- Plant treatment, inoculation, notation
- Plant material handling (sampling, grinding, storage)
- Communicate results in internal meetings
- Compliance with EHS standards (safety procedures, PPEs and safety behavior in laboratory)
SKILLS
- Previous technical experience in a laboratory, ideally with plants and/or pathogens
- English (minimum B1 level)
- Autonomous, motivated and meticulous
