Our internship program provides you with the opportunity to apply your knowledge in an R&D industrial setting. You will be assigned meaningful work on innovative projects and, while enhancing and developing your technical skills, will aid in solving real industrial R&D problems. This opportunity is located at Stine Research Center, Newark, DE.

FMC Research & Development, Formulations group is currently seeking an initiative-taking Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Intern to join our 2023 internship program. 

The successful intern will learn about various types of agrochemical formulations,  safe operation of laboratory scale media mills to prepare suspension concentrate formulation, learn and operate laboratory equipment such as particle size analyzer,  viscometer and density meter etc., to evaluate the formulations.  The project will evaluate alternate inert materials for their suitability in a suspension concentrate  formulation. As part of the project, suspension concentrate formulations will be prepared with inerts from different sources, aged as per the standard aging protocols and evaluated as per the standard methods. The project will give an understanding about various types of formulations, preparation of formulations, evaluation of the formulations as per standard methods, summarize the results and make recommendations.

Education

To be considered for an Internship at FMC’s Stine Research Center, candidates must be studying at an accredited college or university and have at least a 3.0 GPA in your major.

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants for this internship opportunity will be pursuing a degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.

• Successful candidates will be rising Juniors or Seniors during the Summer of 2023 or M.S. /  Ph.D. candidates.

• Strong oral and written communications skills.

• Strong attention to detail.
