Primary Responsibilities:

The Contract Administrator (CA) is responsible for managing specific contracts to support site services and R&D operations.  They are accountable for providing contractor support of site services including creation of the scope of work; obtaining quotes and approvals; providing oversite of services; and compliance with regulatory, safety and scope requirements.

 

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop contract strategies and initiate contracts to reflect scope, period of agreement and cost​
  • Participate in selection of appropriate bidders in accordance with scope, schedule, cost, quality requirements
  • Coordinate work in the field including auditing contractor training, safety, and the work permit process
  • Monitor and address overall contractor performance to insure they are meeting expectations
  • Manage the interface between the contractors with legal, sourcing, EHS, accounts payable, tax, the project process, and any other party.  Including permits, schedules, invoicing and payment issues.
  • Maintain metrics for specific contracts and/or projects (i.e., track expenses, exposure hours).

 

 

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant contract administration/project management experience (Field Contract Administration experience is a plus).
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and communicate with diverse groups, such as line management, engineer, planner, maintenance, and R&D community.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and purchasing systems such as SAP
  • Ability to work well under pressure, both outdoors and indoors in all climates, and be available 24/7 if needed.
  • Familiarity with Site Services and maintenance systems is preferred (i.e. Janitorial; Roads & Grounds; Shipping & Receiving)
