FMC Corporation’s Global Regulatory Sciences group is an integral part of our R&D organization. We are dedicated to developing research for new and existing molecules to help farmers maintain a safe and secure food supply while protecting public health and the environment for future generations. Our office is based in Newark, Delaware, just one hour south of our Corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While the position is based in the USA, you will have the opportunity to support our global business and interface with people around the world.

 

Position Overview: As a Human Health Risk Assessor, you will be a key competency expert on cross-functional teams. Your role will involve preparing critical reviews, risk assessments, and advocacy documents to support FMC products in occupational and non-occupational risk assessment. You will collaborate with toxicologists, metabolism, and residue chemists to develop strategies addressing technical requirements through study design, new technologies, and best practices.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the competency expert on cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare critical reviews, risk assessments, and advocacy documents.
  • Collaborate with toxicologists, metabolism, and residue chemists.
  • Develop strategies to address technical requirements through study design and new technologies.

Qualifications and Education:

  • Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Toxicology, or a closely related discipline with a publication record and 5-10 years of relevant work experience in a commercial setting. Or,
  • M.S. in Mammalian Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a closely related discipline with 10-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of occupational exposure studies, dermal penetration studies, and non-dietary exposure studies.
  • Knowledge of global regulation and GLP requirements for human health, crop and food residue requirements, or mammalian toxicology.

Additional Relevant Experience:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Experience designing and managing field and analytical studies under FIFRA, OCSPP, and OECD guidelines.
  • Understanding of and experience with external industry working groups and regulatory initiatives.
