Function Overview:

The State Registration and Label Specialist position for the FMC US Crop business is responsible for completing all state registration activities for new products, amended products, and the annual renewal of existing registered products in alignment with business plans. This position will also be responsible for the preparation of commercial labels utilized in product packaging. The individual will work closely with the US Product Registration Managers to ensure state registrations and labeling are coordinated with federal regulatory timelines and business plans. The position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on multiple priorities simultaneously.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the submission and timely approval of all state registrations for new and amended products.
  • Lead the state registration renewal process on an annual basis to ensure no business disruptions and to ensure cost savings are realized when products are discontinued.
  • Coordinate with Product Registration Managers to ensure new and amended commercial products labels are prepared for product packaging in alignment with production schedules.
  • Serve as an additional resource for federal registration activities during peak resource periods.
  • Initiate and implement continuous improvement efforts to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency in obtaining and maintaining state registrations and preparing commercial labels.
  • Comply with the principles of Responsible Care and promote Product Stewardship.
  • Work in a safe manner and support a safe working environment.

 

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree, typically from a scientific field relevant to pesticide regulation 

 

Qualifications:

  • Technical/scientific background in a discipline relevant to the regulation of pesticides
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to work with multiple individuals on multiple priority activities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven track record in a cross functional environment.
  • Analytically strong with great attention to details.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with information database administration
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Quark, and proofreading software
