Job Summary:
Planning & controlling of day-to-day maintenance plans in accordance with production plan. Participate in Engineering Project management, plan, monitor and track progress. Prepare an engineering document. These include design basis, specifications, data sheets, and more. Also includes the technical details for instruments, fire and gas systems, and control systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Instrument Index from P&ID.
- All instrument listing along with Technical specifications, detailed comparison of various makes of instruments, communication with vendors for technical queries.
- Instruments loop diagram review and loop checking.
- Technical Bid Evaluation & Technical Recommendation of all instruments and Control systems
- Preparation of Logic Diagrams and field verification of Alarms and Interlocks
- Knowledge of HAZOP and SIS for instruments
- Detail knowledge regarding operation and maintenance of all types of level transmitters, Flow transmitters, Pressure transmitters, Gas Detectors and analyzers, Control valves, Weighing systems, PH/ Conductivity Analyzers.
- Identify and Maintain Critical spares for plant operation.
- Lead a team of 5 to 10 Technicians and resolve plant issues independently.
- Root cause analysis of breakdown of Instruments and presenting suitable solutions to management.
- Commissioning of all instruments and control systems as per OEMs guidelines.
- Working and repairing knowledge of various types of valves – control valve, flush bottom, shut off and their actuators –manual, electric & pneumatic etc.
- Knowledge of PLC, SCADA, DCS (MODIFICATIONS AND PROGRAMMING) preferably of Allen Bradley, and Delta V Emerson
- Knowledge of SAP ERP system
- Knowledge of CEMS system and hook up with GPCB/CPCB.
- Create instrument index, I/O schedules, logic diagrams, cable schedules, and instrument datasheets using specialized software.
- Handle control system deliverables, such as telecommunication system specifications and system block diagrams.
Required Skills:
- BE – Instrumentation with 5 to 10 years of experience
- Experience in working with world class automated system.
- Preferred experience in Chemical Plant’s Instrumentation & Project work
