Run Plant (Production) Engineer

 

Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the primary responsibility of the Run Plant Engineer is to ensure consistent and reliable plant operations. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day production troubleshooting and lead cross-functional teams to address production issues. The Run Plant Engineer is also responsible for meeting production plans, driving manufacturing excellence, and supporting EHS and Capital goals.

 

What You'll Do With Us:

 

  • Owns day-to-day production troubleshooting and leads cross-functional teams to address production issues.
  • Initiates/approves MOC/PSSR recommendations, drives action items to closure, and ensures communication across site departments.
  • Leads or assists in RCA/CA to improve site EHS and Quality performance and supports Process Hazards Analysis teams and safety programs.
  • Gathers and reviews OAU data, identifies bad actors, recommends improvements using Lean Six Sigma tools, and engages with Tech Centre and R&D.
  • Leads day-to-day production troubleshooting, develops, and maintains SOPs and BOMs, and facilitates process improvements with the Tech Centre.
  • Evaluates and approves final design documents, and coordinates and supervises small to medium projects with the Tech Centre.

 

Your qualification

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering with 2-3 years of industry experience, preferably at a production site.
  • Strong understanding of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, with proficiency in Process Hazards Analysis and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies, including the ability to gather and analyse Operational Analysis Unit (OAU) data for continuous improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and team collaboration skills for effective troubleshooting and process improvement.
  • Effective communication skills for developing SOPs and BOMs, evaluating design documents, and coordinating small to medium scale projects.
  • Six Sigma experience is highly desirable, as it demonstrates expertise in reducing variability, improving process efficiency, and enhancing overall quality.
