Business/Function Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to join FMC, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist, to join our IT Department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Leadership team by performing a wide range of accounting as well as administrative tasks. Responsibilities:

 

  1. Financial Support:
    • Process invoices accurately and ensure timely payments.
    • Interface with vendors as needed.
    • Maintain financial records, including accounts payable.
    • Assist in creating financial reports and budget maintenance.
    • Handle financial accruals and prepaid expenses, ensuring proper accounting.
    • Create purchase requisitions for external IT expenditures.
  2. Document Preparation and Collaboration:
    • Develop, review, edit, and draft presentations and documentation in collaboration with the CIO and Leadership team.
    • Independently research and analyze associated issues, compiling materials for presentations and decision-making purposes.
    • Compose professional correspondence as needed.
  3. Office Efficiency:
    • Create high-quality documents using the Microsoft Office suite.
    • Gain an in-depth understanding of the CIO’s priorities and needs, ensuring efficient time management for access requests.
  4. Logistics and Coordination:
    • Independently prioritize, plan, and coordinate logistics for meetings and conferences.
    • Interact with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  5. Leadership Support:
    • Manage calendars and travel arrangements for the leadership team. Handle complex and confidential records, including SharePoint sites

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting concepts such as reconciliations, amortization schedules, accruals, etc.
  • Proficiency in any type of accounting software.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented and proactive.
