Function Overview:

As an intern for FMC’s Sustainability Function, this position is responsible for assisting in FMC’s preparation for mandatory ESG reporting requirements such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). This internship will be as part of a global team supporting ESG required and voluntary disclosures as well as supporting the office of the CSO as needed with sustainability data analytics, software management, document management and report writing. This intern will report to the ESG Reporting Specialist and interact with other sustainability leaders at FMC, including the Global Director of Sustainability.

Responsibilities May Include:

 

Working with the Sustainability Team on tasks identified to ensure compliance with ESG regulations. Could include assisting with the following activities and/or functions:

  • Writing policies, procedures, and draft report content for CSRD and other ESG regulations.
  • Establishing and tracking controls around ESG data and processes.
  • Evaluation and implementation of ESG Reporting software, including platform establishment and administrative duties.
  • Maintaining project logs and communication plans.
  • Desktop research and benchmarking across required CSRD-compliant reports.
  • Support special projects as needed by the Sustainability Team and CSRD Working Groups.

Required Education:

 

You need to be currently enrolled or committed to enrolling in graduate studies in sustainability, business, accounting, sciences, communications, or other sustainability-related fields.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Comfort working with large datasets and complex regulations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and open to adapting responsibilities.
  • Willingness to learn and applying skills independently.
  • Strong research capabilities and ability to concisely communicate findings to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, strong technical skills preferred.
  • Familiarity with ESG and sustainability concepts and regulations a plus.
  • Ability to work 16-24 hours a week during a semester.
  • Capacity to maintain 40 working hours a week outside of a semester.
  • Ability to work in office at the FMC Headquarters in Philadelphia.
  • Position will run through end of March 2025 with a possible extension.
