Global Market Intelligence Lead

 

The Global Market Intelligence Lead is a member of the Global Marketing (GM) team and interacts closely with Regional Marketing, R&D, Finance, GM and Senior Leadership, proactively contributing strategic analysis and interpretation to support FMC market forecasts and growth strategies.  Validation of market data accuracy, quality and completeness and the ability to translate the potential impact on FMC, is a critical aspect of this position.  

 

Job Overview and Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Collect, summarize, and interpret market data required to support analyses conducted by Strategy in support of global FMC growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on AgChem market / competitive developments and industry trends. Establish single source of truth grower level POG data base bringing together the best country data available to create a global data base
  • Maintain a cost-effective market research resource library for global FMC clients by establishing productive relationships with leading global market research providers.
  • Coordinate the execution of custom market research studies required by GM in support of new product launches, including qualitative (such as focus group testing) and quantitative (such as pricing guidance) studies.
  • Support (with GM Portfolio and Project Managers and Finance) robust project market opportunity assessments that can be clearly and consistently presented to the Operating Committee during biannual project reviews.
  • Lead Global Market Intelligence Platform creation, analysis, and insight delivery in collaboration with DSEA, ISC, Regulatory and marketing extended team.  Continuously identify new use cases to be incorporated into future releases of the Platform.
  • Work in cooperation with the data science team in developing deep-dive market insights reports.

 

Required Education and Experience:

 

  • BA/BS in Agricultural Science or related discipline (such as Biological Sciences or Chemistry) or Business required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in AgChem marketing, sales, finance or product development.
  • Experience in at least one key global Agricultural market with developed insight to customer needs is preferred.
  • Experience in a consultant company developing projects to related areas is a plus.

  • Written and oral presentation skills:  Proficient in creating compelling and professional documents and presentations.  Clear and concise oral communication ability.
  • Computer skills:  Advanced expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
