The Global Market Intelligence Specialist reports to the Global Market Intelligence Manager and will provide business intelligence and marketing analytics support to the Global Strategic Marketing team, regional and global business, and marketing leaders.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor current trends in Global Agriculture, Marketing Analytics, and Business Intelligence applicable to the Crop Protection industry
  • Lead preparation of the quarterly Global Market Foresight Report, including providing support with interpretation of the impact of global market trends on current and future FMC business performance
  • Master use of market data resources and present ways in which FMC can extract more value from them
  • Lead process definition, data collection, and collaboration efforts to annually update the long- range market outlook for the Vitality Index
  • Maintain and update the Global Market Research Library with current reports from external sources
  • Identify opportunities to continuously improve the quality, data availability and presentation of global market and business intelligence data 
  • Evaluate new market research tools for improving FMC’s ability to predict and interpret market evolution
  • Perform ad hoc data queries and analytics for global insecticide, herbicide and fungicide product and portfolio managers to provide data-driven insights
  • Monitor, summarize and report key industry trends to Global Strategic Marketing team and develop recommendations to support global portfolio growth initiatives
  • Support analytics and development of global market segment strategic plans
  • Collaborate with regional colleagues to validate business and market assumptions for key countries
  • Support ad hoc Global Strategic Marketing and Regional projects and initiatives as necessary

 

Education:

  • BA/BS in Agricultural Science-related or Business discipline required
  • MS in Agricultural Science-related discipline or MBA preferred

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in agribusiness or a closely related field
  • Experience in quantitative market research and marketing
  • Strong knowledge of Agricultural Markets, Marketing Analytics and Business Intelligence
  • Strong MS office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Globally minded and culturally sensitive
  • Demonstrates problem solving, and ability to react quickly under pressure
  • Ability to interact effectively with multiple functional groups to drive decisions
  • Demonstrates ability to think critically about issues, form objective opinions and provide recommendations
  • Results-driven, self-starter capable of executing improvement initiatives
  • Ability to thrive and effectively operate in a highly dynamic environment
