Business/Function Overview

The Registration & Regulatory Affairs Manager (R&RA Manager) for FMC Global Specialty Solutions (GSS) is accountable for leading the regulatory function in developing and implementing regulatory strategies and tactical plans to grow and defend the GSS product portfolio. In this capacity, the R&RA Manager will collaborate with the Product Development, Marketing, and Supply Chain functions to drive for business results and ensure regulatory compliance. The position requires significant pesticide regulatory knowledge, experience in managing teams, strong project management skills, and the ability to influence for positive outcomes.

Responsibilities 

• Manage regulatory team members by communicating clear priorities and focused objectives in line with short and long term business plans.
• Drive the development and execution of regulatory strategies and tactical plans for registration of products in the US and Canada.
• Lead the preparation, submission, and approval of quality US EPA submissions.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state pesticide laws and regulations pertaining to the sale and distribution of Specialty products in the US and Canada, including FIFRA, PRIA and PCPA.
• Represent FMC on industry committees and work groups focused on influencing regulatory policies and procedures important to the GSS business.
• Maintain awareness of key regulatory issues and recommend actions in advance of competitive pressure.
• Comply with the principles of Responsible Care and promote Product Stewardship.
• Work in a safe manner and support a safe working environment. 

Required Education 

• Bachelor's degree, typically from the science field relevant to pesticide regulation

Qualifications 

• Technical/scientific background and significant experience relevant to the regulation of pesticides. (FIFRA, PRIA, etc.)

• Experience managing people and teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple individuals on priority activities.
• Strong attention to detail with deadline and customer service orientation.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence for positive outcomes.
• Strong negotiation skills. 
• Ability to travel (10%).
