Marketing Communications Manager, Global Strategic Marketing
We are looking for a motivated and strategic marketing communications professional to lead all facets of communications for FMC’s Precision Agriculture and Plant Health organizations. The position requires a well-rounded professional with global experience and proven abilities to create and execute measurable and impactful communications that directly support business objectives and drive stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is action-oriented, accountable and eager to develop and implement multi-faceted communications strategies for two highly visible, fast-growing platforms.
Based at the company’s global headquarters in Philadelphia, the Marketing Communications Manager reports to the Director of Global Strategic Marketing and will be a trusted partner of the Precision Ag and Plant Health teams.

Major Responsibility Areas
Business/Marketing Communications
- Develop and refine the integrated marketing communications strategies and positioning plans for Precision Agriculture and Plant Health to ensure communications to customers, distributors, partners and other stakeholders are inspiring, impactful and globally aligned.
- Create visibility and awareness of Precision Agriculture and Plant Health through the strategic use of traditional and non-traditional communication vehicles and channels, including conferences, earned media, video, digital and social media, marketing collateral, trade journals, etc.
- Partner with Precision Agriculture and Plant Health leadership for new product and feature launch campaigns, including developing value propositions, market positioning strategies, new product naming, etc.
- Identify and develop positions on key industry topics that promote FMC as a Precision Agriculture and Plant Health authority. Develop and execute a long-term plan to elevate FMC’s profile in the industry.
- Support the local marketing and communications teams in developing regional communication plans and tactics that are aligned with global strategies and address specific regional and country needs.
- Develop and enhance communications-related performance metrics to assess effectiveness, progress, and business impact.
- Manage and collaborate with outside agencies and vendors (advertising, communications and digital agencies, public relations firms, fulfillment houses, photographers, videographers, and exhibit houses) on communication program development and execution.
Leadership and Employee Communications
- Ensure business leaders are prepared and trained for media opportunities, speaking engagements and related public events by creating clear and targeted key messaging.
- Collaborate with marketing and marketing communications leaders in key countries to identify common areas where global marketing communications can provide support to meet business objectives and deliver consistent branding for FMC, Precision Ag and Plant Health.
- Develop, manage and execute communications plans that ensure Plant Health and Precision Ag employees are informed, aligned and highly engaged.
Enterprise Communications
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications on enterprise-wide programs and initiatives where assigned businesses may be included or featured, such as the company's website, corporate branding campaigns, digital or social media activity, internal or external news coverage, etc.
- Provide occasional support to Investor Relations and other corporate functions that may include quarterly financial performance messaging, investor day program development, annual and sustainability reports development, etc.
Required Education
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related discipline is required; an advanced degree (MBA or master's degree in a related field) is desirable.
Qualifications
- Successful candidate should have at least 10-12 years of functional experience in marketing communications, business or brand communications or a related field.
- Development and execution of business-to-business marketing communication strategies, plans, messaging, etc., is required.
- Strong writing and editing skills are required (strategic, targeted messaging, promotional copy, web and social content, press materials, presentations, etc.).
- Must think strategically but has a "roll up your sleeves" attitude to execute and produce impactful results.
- Experience working in a large, matrix global organization is a plus. Previous work experience in crop protection, agriculture or related industries is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience working with (or in) regions outside the United States is preferred.
- Works effectively in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment.
