Operational Transfer Pricing Manager
Overview:
FMC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Operational Transfer Pricing (OTP) Manager to join our Global Tax and Transfer Pricing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s transfer pricing operations, ensuring compliance with international tax regulations, and supporting the company’s global financial objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of transfer pricing principles, strong analytical skills, expert excel based modeling capabilities, and the ability to manage complex financial data across multiple entities in a faced paced, dynamic environment. Further, as this position has global responsibilities, the successful candidate will have to manage their time efficiently to be able to seamlessly collaborate with key non-US personnel, located in different time zones while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Transfer Pricing Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day management of the company’s operational transfer pricing processes.
- Ensure compliance with international tax laws and regulations related to transfer pricing.
- Develop, implement, and monitor transfer pricing policies and procedures.
- Transfer Pricing Maintenance:
- Maintain a master list of over 10,000 transfer prices across various products and services.
- Regularly create, review, and update transfer pricing data, models, calculations, and analytics to reflect current business activities and market conditions as well as analyze and present scenarios.
- Legal Entity Forecasting:
- Create and manage detailed financial forecasts for over fifty legal entities across multiple regions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and alignment of forecasts with business objectives.
- Entity Profitability Monitoring:
- Calculate, monitor, and analyze the profitability of individual entities, ensuring that transfer pricing strategies align with company goals.
- Identify and address any discrepancies or issues affecting entity profitability.
- Prepare exposure analyses to accurately assess any uncertain tax positions and recommend actions to remediate from both an analytical and qualitative perspective.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with tax, finance, accounting, and legal teams to support transfer pricing documentation and reporting requirements.
- Provide guidance and support during audits and regulatory reviews.
- Collaborate with external service providers to support valuation exercises.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze large volumes of financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to transfer pricing.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Consolidate and manipulate large data sets sourced from multiple systems, while aligning with management reporting financials.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve transfer pricing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and leverage technology to optimize data management and reporting.
Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in transfer pricing, financial analysis, or a related field, preferably within a multinational corporation or a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Experience of setting, monitoring, and adjusting transfer prices on a frequent basis along with making any necessary transfer pricing adjustments during the year-end close process.
- Strong knowledge of international transfer pricing regulations and guidelines.
- Proven experience managing complex financial data and large-scale projects.
- Proven ability to work and prioritize with independence as well as collaborate cross functionally
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools, expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability conducting complex financial modeling using higher-level Excel functionalities (i.e., pivot tables, macros, and other logic-based formulas).
- Experience with creating summarized deliverables and/or dashboards that contain robust methods of analyses synthesized in plain language with accurate reporting of results, while demonstrating comprehensive self-review and editing.
- Experience with tax/transfer pricing software and accounting systems and a proven ability to understand segmented results and opine on the accuracy of such data.
- Broad ranging capabilities using Microsoft Excel.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, CMA) is preferred.
