Business/Function Overview

The Strategic Account Executive is responsible for growing the top line sales, enhancing profitability to the customer and FMC, and enhancing the relationship with FMC Agricultural Solution’s key strategic accounts in the crop protection industry.  This role is key in designing and implementing strategically innovative solutions to meet the ever-changing needs of our largest customers, forging tighter alignment, and building upon the competitive advantages FMC brings to our customers.   Location flexible based on accessibility to airport and ability to travel to meet the need of US wide customers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Works with the executive/senior management of the strategic customer to build and maintain effective relationships
  • Drives for results by ensuring sales objectives and targets are forecasted, achieved, and aligned with financial objectives
  • Identifies and positions sales/market opportunities by aligning the customer’s and FMC’s financial and organizational Key Performance Indicators and develops solutions for maximum effectiveness.
  • Develops and implements 3-year strategic plans that govern FMC’s objectives, strategies, and tactics with the customer.
  • Negotiates product and strategic business initiatives ensuring a profitable balance between FMC and the customer.
  • Establishes linkages and fosters relationships between FMC’s and customer’s key functional areas.
  • Maintains proper and efficient communication level of direction and other business metrics throughout the FMC and customer organization.
  • Monitors competitor activity, ensuring appropriated response strategies are formulated and communicated
  • Time and territory management prepare call plans, call reports, correspondence to ensure executive alignment
  • Expense Management

 

Required Education

  • BS in agricultural field, MBA desired

 

Qualifications

  • 10 + years of Ag business experience and preferred experience in distributor channel
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in customer relationship management 
  • Strong business acumen and leadership skills
  • Must be detail oriented, results focused and a self-starter with strong follow up skills
  • Strong presentations, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated performance in delivering business results
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving, ability to determine solutions for customers
  • Leadership team player abilities at all levels
  • Strong financial background
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
