Corporate Communications Senior Specialist

The Corporate Communications Senior Specialist is responsible for driving engagement, conversation, and strategic communication within FMC through a variety of channels. The successful candidate helps employees understand company strategy, goals, and objectives by creating effective communication collateral and content and managing key internal communication vehicles. This role will report to the Corporate Communications Manager and will be a member of the FMC global communications team. 


Essential responsibilities include:

  • Partner with functional managers and leaders to provide communications support for strategic business priorities and organizational changes including the development of internal communication plans. Major stakeholders include Ethics & Compliance, Data Privacy, Legal, and Employee Resources Groups (ERGs).
  • Design and develop communication collateral including presentations, talking points, emails, fact sheets, and e-news to achieve specific objectives.
  • Produce the company e-newsletter on a biweekly basis and track data to drive effectiveness.
  • Assist in producing major virtual company events using Microsoft Teams (ie. Town Halls, HR webinars, ERG speaker events).
  • Using SharePoint, oversee the company intranet, including creating new content, maintain a sound site navigation, monitor user-generated content for appropriateness, and coordinate and support efforts of departmental content owners.
  • Lead projects to improve sections of the intranet or deliver new tools through the intranet.
  • Gather and summarize employee feedback on communication effectiveness after key communication events (ie. Global Town Halls).


Required Skills/Qualities:

  • 4+ years’ experience in internal or corporate communications.
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills.
  • Technology savvy with proficiency in Office 365, especially SharePoint, and mass-email software.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Consistently demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a large global, matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated experience developing communication strategies, plans, and

messaging, as well as a willingness to manage creative, public relations and other external agencies.

  • Willingness to contribute and assist beyond day-to-day communications responsibilities, including an openness to experimentation and ambiguity.
  • Proficient in AP style is highly preferred.
