Process Engineering Manager
As the Process Engineering Manager for the AI Tolled Technical Center, you will lead efforts to promote global AI technology excellence, focusing on process safety, technology standardization, and continuous improvement across FMC's tolled manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams on process development, scale-up, and technology transfer, ensuring best-in-class performance in safety, quality, sustainability, and cost across all global sites.
What you'll do with us:
- Lead the implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) to ensure compliance with corporate safety standards and local regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process safety, sustainability, yield, and cost optimization in collaboration with tollers and other teams.
- Lead the scale-up, technology transfer, and commercialization of new processes and products, ensuring successful implementation across sites.
- Ensure standardization of engineering technology and processes, working with the Technical Guardianship group to establish best practices.
- Provide technical support to tollers for compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and grow technical talent, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Your qualification & attributes:
- MS in Chemical Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process design, preferably in agricultural or fine chemicals.
- Expertise in process simulation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience in project design and process development; proficiency in AutoCAD and ASPEN preferred.
- Strong knowledge of process safety and Responsible Care standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills. Willingness to travel frequently, up to 20% of the time.
