For our new Technology Center in Schaffhausen (Switzerland) we are looking for a

Procurement Business Counsel (m/f/d)

In this role, you will serve as the lead commercial lawyer for FMC’s direct procurement function, which is responsible for the purchasing of raw materials and formulated goods, contract manufacturing services, packaging for FMC products, and other strategic sourcing activities.

What you do with us

• You establish yourself as a trusted, strategic partner to the direct procurement team.
• You partner with the direct procurement team, global procurement leadership, and others, to provide practical advice on a range of commercial legal matters.
• You negotiate and advise on commercial contracts, including product supply agreements, contract manufacturing agreements, tolling agreements, confidentiality and material transfer agreements, general terms and conditions.  
• You identify and seek to mitigate legal risks, including those relating to anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws, global competition laws, chemical product and environmental regulation, trade compliance, intellectual property, conflicts of interest, privacy.

Your qualification

• Law degree or equivalent plus LLM and/or Bar Admission in any European country
• 5-10 years post-qualification legal experience in a private law firm or in-house law department, with exposure to American companies and multinational operations; chemical industry experience preferred
• Pragmatic, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset, with strong business and legal judgment
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with business clients, in a complex and fast-paced business environment
