Area Sales Manager for sales team responsible for the GAP region in Turkey

Joining us either in Sanlıurfa, Gaziantep or Diyarbakır you will be heading one of our 6 regional sales teams in charge of demonstrating our products to customers. We are an energetic and dedicated group within FMC, and you will be part of the local team has great spirit.

 

Manage your team and demonstrate products in the field

As an area sales manager for the GAP region, you will be responsible for the daily management and development of your team of technical sales representatives. The team provides our customers with advice and demonstrates products in the field, and you will support them in their work aiming to sustain a stable growth rate in a competitive market. Doing so, an important part of your job will be to nurture strong relationships with especially our key customers.

You will also be an active part of the local senior management team and work closely with colleagues across FMC globally. More specifically, your tasks will include:
 

  • Handling regular reporting on market development, competition, etc.
  • Coordinating and assigning tasks and helping your team manage daily assignments
  • Interacting with customers – this includes both key growers, key clients, advisors and food chain companies – and making recommendations on choice of product
  • Following up on collections

Agronomist with solid leadership skills and business acumen

As you will be interacting with a wide range of customers as well as managing a team, you will need to have great people skills and excel at building relationships. You know how to navigate in a competitive market, using your business acumen and drawing on your solid experience, and you understand how to set the direction for your team and lead by example. We also imagine that you:

 

  • Hold a degree in agronomy
  • Have a 6+ years of experience from in a similar position, preferably from a crop protection company
  • Have solid collaborative and leadership skills and hands-on experience managing a team
  • Have a solid grasp of MS Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Speak and write Turkish as well as English fluently
  • Have a driving license and good driving skills
