Job Summary

The IT Manager, Singapore is based in Singapore and reports to the IT Director, APAC. Singapore hosts FMC’s regional headquarters, a major manufacturing facility, and a Global Technology Center.  The role involves a high level of stakeholder engagement, will have managerial oversight for all IT resources in Singapore, and will be responsible for providing information technology leadership, IT-business analysis, and digital enablement for the country. 


How You Will Help Us Succeed


IT Leadership and Management

  • Liaise with Singapore based APAC Operating Committee members to align IT and business needs
  • Promote FMC’s Culture of Safety. 
  • IT Budget management including capital planning, operational cost management, and monthly performance to budget
  • Manage key IT system implementation projects and initiatives
  • Mentor and supervise site IT leads, contractors, and consultants at all requisite locations
  • Vendor management: work with procurement to review & negotiate service agreements
  • Ensure optimal IT service delivery involving 1st/2nd level support with a focus on process and continuous improvement 


Infrastructure and Operations

  • Works with APAC IT Organization and CIT to deploy and leverage global infrastructure capabilities including
    • IT service delivery
    • Communications & collaboration
    • Cybersecurity & compliance
  • Ensure that infrastructure monitoring tasks associated with all local sites are scheduled and completed
  • Provide management and support for local and corporate managed infrastructure
  • Ensure 1st and 2nd level support for workspace enablement products and services 
  • Change Management: Manage IT-related changes and business impact
  • Manage disparate FMC locations including corporate office space, manufacturing sites, and laboratories


Regional Infrastructure

Work with the APAC Infrastructure Manager to:

  • Provide and support APAC based cloud infrastructure
  • Manage service delivery for hybrid cloud environments supporting PaaS and SaaS workloads
  • Align and support delivery of corporate-led technology roadmaps, initiatives, and projects
  • Provide level 2/3 technical support services for network, server, and storage environment
  • Cloud capacity management and forecasting


Compliance, Systems Security & Controls

  • Understand and adhere to FMC IT policies & standards.  Make sure all sites are compliant with all internal controls, audit, and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure that site systems adhere and are kept to current levels of IT compliance and IT governance involving Data Privacy, IT Security, Architecture Review, and Project Portfolio Management
  • Evaluate risks and develop business continuity and resumption planning for all computer systems and infrastructure
  • Maintain accurate IT inventories and manage disposal of IT assets
  • Ensure that all FMC Users are onboarded and understand acceptable use of IT resources and IT Policies
  • Conduct periodic trainings
  • Support internal audit activities during preparation and execution



What You Will Bring to Us


  • 10+ years’ experience in an information technology role spanning IT Operations, systems support, project management, or customer service
  • 3 years managerial or supervisory experience
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong customer focus and collaboration skills 
  • MS Azure Cloud server deployment: IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing IT industry best practices and standards
  • Operating systems and server management experience 
  • Working knowledge of hardware and software components and concepts
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and general business processes
  • AV systems and Video Conferencing experience
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations
  • 10% regional travel
