We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Accounts Payable Senior Manager to join our dynamic team at the shared service center, where we leverage SAP software for streamlined financial operations. This successful candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring and managing a team of accounts payable professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end global accounts payable process within the shared service center, utilizing SAP software to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and ensure execution of standardized AP policies and procedures in SAP, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Oversee a team of accounts payable professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback while maximizing SAP functionalities.
- Optimize and implement AP processes within SAP to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity, leveraging technology and best practices.
- Identify ways to streamline and continuously improve processes and internal controls.
- Collaborate and foster sustainable relationships with internal stakeholders across various departments and regions within the SAP environment, addressing inquiries and streamlining communication channels.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SAP platform, identifying opportunities to enhance the AP function's effectiveness and contribute to overall financial efficiency.
- Own a crucial role in financial reporting by providing accurate and timely information related to accounts payable metrics and trends.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to payment terms, discounts, and contractual obligations with vendors, utilizing SAP functionalities for effective tracking.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, implementing necessary adjustments within the SAP environment to maintain compliance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, along with strong organizational and time-management skills, are essential for effectively overseeing and motivating a large team (40+).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is strongly preferred; master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (15+ years) in a managerial role overseeing global accounts payable functions in a shared service center, with expertise in SAP software.
- Strong knowledge of international accounting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements within the SAP ecosystem.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse teams and stakeholders, ensuring seamless SAP integration.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and other relevant accounting software.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement within the SAP framework.
- Demonstrated ability to foster positive relationships with vendors and internal partners, optimizing SAP capabilities for efficient collaboration.
