For our Formulation unit in our production site based in Uffholtz (France) we are currently looking for a highly motivated

 

Run Plant Engineer (m/f/d)

 

The primary responsibility of the Run Plant engineer is to insure consistent and reliable plant operations.  In this role the ideal candidate will own day-to-day production troubleshooting and lead cross functional teams to address production issues.  The Run Plant engineer is also responsible for meeting production plans, driving manufacturing excellence, and supporting EHS and Capital goals.

 

Your Responsibilities

Process Support

  • Owns the gathering and reviewing of Operating Asset Utilization data; identifies bad actors and opportunities for loss reductions; recommends improvement opportunities utilizing lean Six Sigma tools in conjunction with Tech Center and R&D.
  • Owns day to day production troubleshooting:  Leads cross functional team to address production issues.
  • Ensure production plans are met by operating within standard operating limits and ensuring equipment is operating as designed. Engage Tech Center to troubleshoot abnormal conditions.
  • Assess and facilitate improvement of current plant processes in coordination with Tech Center

Environmental Health & Safety

  • Responsible to initiate/approve MOC/PSSR recommendations and drive action items to closure while ensuring changes are communicated across site departments.
  • Support Process Hazards Analysis teams and support site safety efforts and programs.
  • Responsible to update PSI data as appropriate.

Capital

  • Responsible to evaluate and approve all final design documents such as P&ID’s, equipment specs, drawing releases etc.
  • Coordinate, implement, and supervise small to medium projects in coordination with the Tech Center.

 

Qualifications

  • Chemical Engineering/Chemistry Engineer
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in the chemical industry
  • Experience in a production site preferred
  • Knowledge of solid formulations is a plus
  • Fluent in French and in English
