Senior Process Engineer for New Product Introduction (m/d)

 

The NPI Engineer's primary role is coordinating new product launches and supply chain changes within the region. From new manufacturing sites to material testing and packaging transformations, you'll coordinate the entire product lifecycle to meet market demands. In this dynamic role, you’ll build strong partnerships across departments, driving the success of each project. You’ll also contribute to process safety improvements, continuous innovation, and technical standardization—helping us set the industry benchmark. 

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Drive Product Launch Success: Serve as the key contact for early-stage manufacturing technology assessments, identifying potential challenges. Ensure the timely development of the Technical Transfer Package (TTP) to support the Capital Deployment Process (CDP) and launch plans, keeping all stakeholders aligned
  • Project Coordination: Own the manufacturing aspect of project plans, collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams including Business, Regulatory, Planning, Procurement, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Tech Centers
  • Manage Operational Changes: Coordinate critical changes such as ingredient qualifications, packaging size adjustments, and manufacturing site transfers to ensure smooth transitions without compromising quality or timelines
  • Support Safety and Compliance: Provide technical expertise for Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) at manufacturing sites or as part of regional projects, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk
  • Champion Improvement Projects: Play an active role in process optimization and capital project execution to drive continuous improvement and efficiency across the region

 

Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree (BE / BA / BS preferred)
  • Good work experience in a chemical environment
  • Excellent experience delivering projects with multiple stakeholders and varying project demands
  • Experience with process safety management, capital deployment process and project management
  • Strong engineering know-how
  • Lean six sigma certification and Knowledge of quality assurance programs or statistical quality control is a plus
