Overview: 

 

The Import Export (I/E) Logistics Specialist will support the North America Logistics team in Philadelphia and will be responsible for supporting US Import and Export activities. The ideal candidate is familiar with shipping dangerous goods, working with freight forwarders, I/E country requirements and I/E customs requirements. The Import Export Logistics Specialist will report to the Global Logistics Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Work with FMC US Plants and Warehouses to execute shipments with freight forwarder
  • Facilitate export booking requests (Air/Ocean) with nominated freight forwarder/NVOCC 
  • Work with the regions to update schedules and track shipments to production schedules
  • Generate shipping documents, including invoices and dangerous goods forms
  • Collaborate with the various regions for pertinent data elements required to ship internationally
  • Support Import documentation package post-audits on entries, able to support import activity as necessary

 

Required Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following:
    • Business Administration
    • Logistics
    • Operations
    • Supply Chain

 

Qualifications: 

  • 5-8 years’ experience in US Import Export Logistics
  • Preferable experience working at a 3PL provider coordinating air freight and ocean freight
  • SAP experience
